The celebration Nauryz in Almaty

 

The celebration was attended by Chairman of the board-Rector of Al – Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, professors, scientists, teachers, students, foreign guests and residents of Bostandyk district. The rector of the University congratulated all guests and participants on the great day Nauryz. Bostandyk district of Almaty is one of the largest central districts of the city, the population of which is 335,456. 63 educational organizations operate in the district, including 34 public and 29 private general education schools. 

 

There are also 11 higher educational institutions and 16 secondary specialized educational institutions, where 88,483 students study. Among them, the largest higher educational institution is Al – Farabi Kaznu. In its 90-year history, the university has made an invaluable contribution to the development of Kazakh education and science and is making every effort to ensure the competitiveness of higher education and science of the country.Currently, the university employs more than 5,000 faculty and staff, and the number of young people studying is about 29 thousand. After the official part of the event, a concert was held, prepared by talented students of the University. The audience watched musical numbers, dance performances and theatrical performances reflecting the richness of Kazakh culture and traditions. Nauryz meiramy has become not only a spring holiday, but also an important event that strengthens peace and spiritual ties between all nations and nationalities, as well as contributes to the exchange of cultural traditions. At the end of the holiday, all participants tasted traditional national dishes.
